Getting the right surveyor matters
At Tomahawk Land Surveying we know that accurate surveying is crucial for any property. Whether your project is commercial, residential, improved, or vacant property, getting precise boundaries, layouts, and control/benchmarks matters. There’s too much at stake for anyone to be cutting corners or doing the bare minimum.
That’s why we’ve worked on hundreds of projects getting the most accurate information with precision so property owners can make educated decisions about their land-use needs.
Our Services
We know that every landowner has different needs and goals, so we offer a range of services to meet those needs. Our clients include real estate investors, developers, builders, contractors, municipalities, and homeowners.
Boundary Surveys
Includes surveys such as Lot/Block inside subdivisions, Metes and Bounds, mortgage, parcel splits, and extensive Section breakdowns. Property line stakeout and writing legal descriptions can be included per request and agreement.
Construction Layout
Includes setting site control and benchmarks, staking residential structures, commercial buildings, staking utilities, storm structures, and sanitary sewer structures for developmental areas. Final as-built drawings can also be provided for these construction projects.
Control Surveys
Includes establishing horizontal and vertical control using CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Stations) to achieve centimeter accuracy. Static GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Sytems) sessions, checks to NGS (National Geodetic Survey) monuments, and redundant measurements are used to prove and meet a certain accuracy.
Topographic Surveys
We perform topographic surveys for small parcels and large acreage parcels. These surveys can be done to assist in the successful design of commercial and residential projects. Different details can be collected and shown in the deliverables, such as tree locations and specific utilities. Contour lines can be displayed at large scales for a more detailed depiction.
Specific Purpose Surveys
Specific purpose surveys are provided to meet a particular need. Examples:
FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) Elevation Certificates can be performed to determine the proper flood insurance rate.
Counties often require foundation surveys to ensure a structure is built inside setback lines and above a specific elevation.
We take the extra step for your peace of mind
You need to be confident your land survey is done correctly so you know your property line is actually your property line.
To do that, you need quality land surveying done right the first time.
The problem is property owners are ultimately held responsible for the structures and boundary lines by government officials. This leaves you feeling concerned your property and structures may be at risk of encroachment.
We believe quality surveyors don’t just meet the Standards of Practice. Your surveyor should take the extra time and effort to provide you with the most evidence possible to help you solve any issues and investigate the best possible outcome for your needs.
